VipassanAsana™ Class: is a hybrid meditation/stretching class. It is an extremely deep, inner, slow, meditative classical Hatha Asana class, using only forward bends, designed to aid the student in entering into a deep meditative brainwave state (Alpha or deeper). I utilize subtle pranayama, precise, gentle guided instruction, and cymatics (using didgeridoo and Native American flutes) to aid the students in developing and honing their proprioception, with the eventual end result of being able to perceive beyond the “apparent” level of reality into the “actual" level of reality.
What is Proprioception?
Proprioception (in the Yogic sense): is the faculty of perception that allows the ability to observe your “self” from the inside out using the "inner-seeing" or 6th sense. It is a dormant skill that every human possesses that can be developed, honed, and mastered. In other words, it is your own awareness of your own “self”, observing from the inside out.
What is Vipassana?
Vipassana: is to perceive at the actual level of ultimate reality, not just at the apparent level of surface reality. In other words, seeing reality as it actually is, not as you have been conditioned to think it is.
What is Cymatics?
Cymatics: is the science of how sound waves (audible or inaudible) affect matter.
